Better than expected sound
Skeptical of the brand — pleasantly surprised. Comfortable, easy pairing, ANC cuts train noise more than I paid for. Cable included for flights that ban Bluetooth.

The soundcore Q20i pairs hybrid noise cancelling with 40-hour battery life (ANC on) and app EQ — enough for commutes, flights, and gym bags when you will not cry over scuffs.

Worth a look
Often under £25 on promotion — hybrid ANC dulls tube rumble and open-plan chatter more than you'd expect at this tier. Case not included; the fold-flat hinge fits a rucksack but not without scratches.
Over-ear seal, hybrid ANC, transparency mode, and a wired fallback cable when the battery dies mid-journey.
Dulls low rumble on the Tube and office HVAC — not Bose-tier silence, but callers on the platform fade to background. Transparency mode passes voices clearly for station announcements.
Out of the box bass is warm. The app EQ tames it in two minutes — 'Balanced' preset is the easy fix. LDAC on Android sounds sharper than standard AAC on iPhone.
Light for over-ears — fine for a two-hour flight. Foam can pinch if your hair slides into the hinge fold; Bonnie W. notes the folding gap catches longer hair.
ANC helps you hear callers; they sometimes struggle to hear you on windy streets. Fine indoors, patchy on a bike.
No case in the box — scratches in a backpack are inevitable. Hinge feels okay for the price but not gym-bag abuse forever.
Owner feedback
Recent write-ups on this exact kit (F7NP · 128GB). We kept the awkward bits — app pairing trips people up more than the video quality.

Sound varies by phone — app EQ fixed the boomy default. Bass is deep once tuned. ANC works well on the Northern line.

Did not want to spend flagship money for gym use. Light on the head, grip is secure, battery lasts weeks of short sessions.

ANC comfortable, charges in under an hour. Folding hinge catches longer hair sometimes. Call quality indoors fine; windy street not so much.

Wanted cheap cans for the tube — these actually cancel passenger chatter. Surprised how well it works for the price.

Audio and ANC punch above cost. Scuffed an ear cup in my backpack because there is no pouch in the box. Buy a case or treat gently.

Paid under twenty quid on promo. Cannot believe the sound and ANC for that. Not built like £300 cans — but they will not last that long anyway.
Install the soundcore app first — EQ presets fix the out-of-box bass bump most reviewers mention.
Connect in the soundcore app — firmware updates fix early ANC quirks. Takes five minutes on hotel Wi‑Fi.
Try 'Balanced' before you judge the bass. LDAC users enable it in Android developer settings if it does not auto-negotiate.
No case included — a £5 pouch saves the ear cups from keys. Fold flat with cups inward to protect the hinge.
